Ella - she ate a toadstool today and had to go to the emergency vet. She’s ok (she threw it up almost immediately) but she’s very unhappy about having to fast.

Folks who use Discord, are y’all leaving it and if so where are you going? Even if I was cool with providing my ID to use it, I have zero confidence that they would keep my info secure. No other organization seems to be able to.

I guess I will just gradually disappear from the internet as age verification kicks in everywhere. I miss the early, wild days.

Dreamwidth is absolutely broken for me right now and I have no idea why LOL, but I wanted to make a post because it's been over a month and also I missed out on doing

snowflake_challenge (which I am a bit sad about...) and ALSO there has been shit going down that pisses me off and if that could be the catalyst that gets me to blog again I would not complain.

2026 has been... something. In many ways!!! But I'm determined to keep on keeping on and to have a good time no matter what... I never did end up making that post looking back on 2025 or whatever it was I wanted to do, but maybe that's for the best in retrospect... I'd still kinda like to write down stuff I'd like to do over 2026 though. So maybe I'll try doing that once, huh... Dreamwidth fixes itself on my end... (If it's still broken tomorrow I'll try to figure that out, or something...)

In light of the ongoing attempts to Crack Down On Pornography I've also been contemplating posting some of that on here, especially stuff I'm not as inclined to share elsewhere right now lawl. So there might be some of that in the future? If there is, rest assured the "worst" of it will be posted under cuts with warnings and probably friends only. So there is that o7

Anyway I picked the worst time to make a post because it's almost 2am and I need to SLEEP but here's a further quick rundown...

I ordered a physical album but it's going to be delivered to a friend in the US so I won't get it until the summer... Also I was so excited to get it I didn't think to check the rest of the store and now I'm sad I didn't get the The Good Doctor Part 2 poster considering it literally features my ship </3 Maybe I'll try to get it later... But in the meantime you should look at it because it rules...

perfworldweek right now!!! Actually saying this made me realize I forgot to advertize it starting on

fandomcalendar today OOP. Maybe this is what I should do before going to bed actually lmao.

I’m having a great time playing Sonic Adventure 2. I’ve gotten used to the controls and camera, but that doesn’t help my skill issue… XD. I’m especially bad at the Sonic levels. Tails is hit or miss, and Knuckles I’ve gotten used to, but I did have a moment where the radar was in the yellow but wasn’t in the room I was in, which drove me crazy for ten minutes -_-. Hopefully when I play the Dark storyline, it’ll be much smoother.

I’m also playing Sonic 2, because my mom has the Nintendo Switch Online subscription thing (?) where you can play old console games. The only SEGA console is the SEGA Genesis, and Sonic 2 is available to play, yippiiee!! I am also really bad at it but FUCK it’s sooo much fun… I had to rage quit after I kept miserably failing at the Casino Night boss fight -^-. Though it appears to be the consensus that this boss fight is really annoying, so at least there’s that.

I watched the second Sonic movie Saturday night. I watched the first one way back in July, high off my rockers from wisdom teeth surgery. I just got back from my home library with the third one, I plan on watching it tonight. I think Amy makes an appearance, at the end? Go pink girl go! I think I’d fall over and die if Rouge shows up. I don’t think she does but,,, fourth movie? Pwease? 🥹

ONE MORE THING, I was browsing thru the Sonic games my library system has, and I have checked out Sonic and the Secret Rings + Sonic and the Black Knight. I have no idea about the quality and I might not even play them, but since they’re Wii games, I wanted to make sure they didn’t get weeded before I got a chance to try them out. If I don’t play them this round, then definitely next time.

Beginning in March, all accounts will have a ‘teen-appropriate experience by default.’

A government ID might still be required for age verification in its global rollout. According to Discord, to remove the new “teen-by-default” changes and limitations, “users can choose to use facial age estimation or submit a form of identification to [Discord’s] vendor partners, with more options coming in the future.”

I haven't been making a lot of public posts of late, but with how things are going in the U.S., I figured people might be interested in this idea, which is basically to unsubscribe from whichever services you can that are supportive of ICE or overly involved with the Trump regime. Probably a lot of you have already done as much, but I found Scott Galloway's layout of it helpful, so I unsubscribed from what I could. I don't really have that many subscriptions in the first place, but it was still nice to do something proactive.

I removed comments from this post just because I don't want to get into too much conversation on politics or what does and doesn't work. I'm more about keeping it light on the Internet, but I think it's fair to say things are not going great, and there's no way to completely avoid talking about the reality we're in, so I figured I'd share this as an option.

Okay, I know there are folks who do Font Stuff and I am at my wits end so I throw myself on y'all's mercy. I have a couple fonts. One, Hershey Noailles Old French 2.5, is a bold version of the other, Hershey Noailles Old French.

And I CANNOT FOR THE LIFE OF ME get my computer to see that. At first, it insisted they were two completely different, unrelated fonts, so I popped them into FontForge, renamed them to have the same family and named one Hershey Noailles Old French with weight Regular and the other Hershey Noailles Old French Bold with weight Bold. That at least got my computer to go, "Ah, I see, these are indeed the same family, one is bold and one is regular!" which is great... but now my computer insists that the two fonts are identical. I do not know why, they very clearly are not when I open them individually in Font Forge... but they show up as identical in Font Viewer too! And any time I try to use it, I get the bold face, and I cannot get the regular one.

I am giving up for now but ARGH. (And all of this could've been avoided if the font distributor had just NAMED THEM RIGHT IN THE FIRST PLACE!)

Okay, so last night I FINALLY beat the second boss--apparently it was PISS EASY to beat, I just couldn't figure out how to hit the cockpit for the LONGEST time -_-. I sort of fumbled my way through Knuckles' stage, and left when I got to Tails' for the night. I'll be getting on again in just a moment, as soon as I figure out how to make the cut scenes not so damn fast... I'm sure there's a mod for it SNORT.

Anyhow, I'm really liking this game so far!! It's honestly easier than I imagined? Even if I have major skill issues LOL. I guess it is kinda made for kids lmao...

I think what I wanna do next is hack my 3DS (long overdue) and then emulate the DS games on there. Sonic Rush is the first game for the DS and the first game with Blaze...

For some people, it’s a dream role! Beautiful dresses, jewels, a fairy-tale romance – what could be better? Other people might note that there can be a lot of work involved in the position, depending on the setting; contrary to popular opinion, there’s often a lot of responsibility, diplomatic or otherwise, wrapped up in being a potential heir to a throne. Some princesses might hate their role; others love it and would never want to do anything else; and some of them might have very mixed feelings on the topic.

Others aren’t literal royalty at all! Maybe the princess is just a role your character is playing, on a stage, in a movie, or as part of a disguise for some sort of plan. Maybe it’s just a fond nickname between friends, for someone who isn’t royalty but acts like it sometimes.
